Frequently asked questions
How do I find a game near me?
Open the app and browse the Games tab. You can filter by sport (Football, Basketball, or Paddle), date, and location to see what's happening nearby before you decide to join.
How do I host a game?
Tap "Host a game," choose your sport, venue, time, and player limit, and publish it. Other players can then discover and join your game, and you manage the roster as host.
Do I pay to join a game?
No. Joining a game is free. You only pay when booking a facility or pitch for a game — plus a platform service fee where applicable. Payments are processed securely through Korapay in Nigerian Naira (₦).
How do I book a pitch?
From a game or directly from the Facilities tab, select a venue, choose an available time slot, and complete payment in-app via Korapay. Your booking is confirmed once payment goes through.
How do I create or join a team?
Go to the Teams tab to create a new team or accept an invite to join one. Teams let you keep the same group of players together across multiple games instead of rebuilding your roster each time.
How do I invite friends to a game?
From any game you've joined or hosted, tap "Invite" to share a link with friends. If you've allowed contacts access, you can also invite directly from your contact list.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email info@playbeta.co from your registered email address requesting account deletion, and we'll remove your account and associated personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
What sports are supported?
PlayBeta currently supports Football, Basketball, and Paddle. Football games can be set up in different pitch sizes, such as 5-a-side.
